MY Voice
The Mission Statement of MY Voice was agreed in the initial meeting of the Group, and reads.
We are young people who live in Monkton and would like to get involved in the decision-making within our community.
We have chosen the name MY Voice because we feel young people should get their voices heard on issues and things that are important to them.
We intend to meet regularly and consult with other young people who live in Monkton to listen to their views and opinions in making Monkton an even better place to live.
Our aim is for Monkton Voice to include us on their agenda and in future meetings in order to achieve youth representation within Monkton.
Below are minutes of previous meetings. If you would like to become involved in the work of MY Voice, please contact MY Voice by e-mail, or James at Communities First.

On Thursday 28th of May, Tommy Crocker, Kirsty Crocker, Chelbie Jones and Kaitlyn Mair of the MY Voice Youth Forum, took part in a Sponsored Walk to raise money for play equipment for young people in Monkton.
The walk was from Monkton to Stackpole, with the final route as agreed and drawn up by the young people at a meeting the previous afternoon coming to just under 7 miles. Thankfully the weather was not too hot for the team of walkers, who reached their destination in less than two and a half hours, thanks to Tommy's excellent map reading skills!
The young people were assisted on the walk by the Communities First Team and PCSO Alex Jenkins from the Pembroke NPT, and would like to thank all of those people who have kindly sponsored them. If anyone would like to make a donation to the funds of the Group, please contact James.
